 A friend of mine had asked if i was able to bake him 

a cake for an event recently. through my busy work

schedule, i managed to squeeze in his request for 

this one of a kind cake!

he had requested for a cake to feed 60 hungry navy crew

members! i had a great time recreating this medallion into

edible art from a given picture. the most interesting part of

this cake to me was creating the Singapore crest consisting of 

a lion and a tiger with a red shield with our 5 stars and crescent.

the feedback was resounding from the crew members!

they thoroughly enjoyed the moist Chocolate with Hazelnut 

filing cake! Im glad yall liked it :D

Moroccan Wedding

hey everyone!

As 2012 comes near to the end, i gotta admit that i

havent been as active as the past two years with baking 

my infamous, out of this world cakes due to my new work

commitments. as a teacher now, im only able to take in 

cake requests during the school holiday periods :)

this 5 tier wedding cake was a request from a colleague of

mine for her sister in-laws wedding in december this year.

it took me a full day and a half to complete this cake

and have it ready for the wedding day. this ones a fondant

covered, two flavor cake - Chocolate with Hazelnut filling

and Red Velvet cake. i am really glad with the outcome of 

this stacked cake! it really does compliments the decor of 

the wedding venue with the theme of Morocco.

Kate Spade

hey 'JOCKoholiks'! 

this ones a simple yet classy Cupcake design inspired 

by the looks of Kate Spade. a friend of mine had a 

request for 12 of these cupcakes for a birthday event.

 these are Orange Zest Cupcakes with

Cream Cheese fillings in the center!

a dozen Kate Spade inspired cupcakes all packed and 

ready to fill up 12 tummies. yums! :D

Iron Man

 hey 'JOCKoholik's !

its 0909 and today marks a special day for 'haus of JOCKolate' ©

as i bring you the first ever debut of 'HOJ's very own EXTREME CAKES!

if yall watch shows like Food Network Challenge and Cake Boss 

on cable, then this would be my very own Extreme Cake Challenge!

to design a customized designer cake for Marvel Comics - Iron Man.

 Ive been planning to create an Extreme Cake since and ive finally

had the opportunity to do so this September for a birthday event.

i was as excited and thrilled as the birthday lady when i proposed 

the idea of having her Iron Man cake transformed into a 3D, 

light emitting mask just like how it does in the movies!

 With the flick of a switch, this 3D Iron Man mask goes from

a customized designer cake to an Extreme Cake design!

that beam of light across the mask really does glows! I bet her

family and friends would be blown off their seats when this cake

arrives in total darkness and lights up the room with its strong

beam of light! do watch out for a video of this cake posted above!

Salted Caramel Cupcakes

hey yall! i gotta say, ive discovered my newfound favorite

flavor to satisfy the awfully sweet tooth i have! i love caramel

and butterscotch flavors when i have my Starbucks coffee or

a cup of ice cream. and now, i have it in my cupcakes too!

the perfect blend of sweet and salty in both frosting and cake.

you can enjoy mouthfuls and not have that overly sweet 

taste that most frosted cupcakes have. this ones a must try!

Spongebob Squarepants

 "Ooooh... who lives in a pineapple under the sea?"

JOCKoholik's behold! our favorite sponge creature

gets transformed into a 3D customized designer cake!

 One of my bestest girlfriends had a staycation for her 

24th birthday at Resorts World Sentosa, Equarius Hotel.

i surprised her with this 3D Spongebob cake as a birthday

gift! she was really pleasantly surprised with this 3 layer

Vanilla cake with Peach and Strawberry jam filing :)

my two other besties Yana and Nasriah :D we had a

Bikini Bottom themed event for her too! i jazzed up 

the hotel room with silver and blue balloons as well 

as hung green crepe paper as seaweed. we all had

flower garlands to wear and truly enjoyed ourselves :)

POP ART!

 With the switch of my career this year, im now able to 

take up some request for customized designer cakes! ive

recently introduced a new artist to my students, showed

his artworks and also did a demo lesson on how to adapt

his style into their artworks. i personally love this art

style, and produce some artworks of my own too. 

He is non other than - Roy Lichtenstein!

 The thing i love much about 'pop art' is that colors

used are typically bright and the images showcased are

simple, carrying thick and thin lines; giving it that
3D graphic design look :D A friend of mine requested

for a cake and she gave me the freedom to design it!
So i chose to do a 'pop art' inspired cake! :)

Keeping true to Roy's 'pop art' comic style, ive included 

a speech bubble into the design of the cake. there are 

lots of unique, quirky and interesting messages you can 

include into these cakes! im real happy with the cake

design :D and if you're wondering what the flavor might

be? yup! its the all time 'haus fav' - Rainbow Cake!

posts we see daily on Facebook, i finally got a request

to design a customized cake for a birthday celebration! 

 Ilyana searched high and low for this image to be

replicated onto the cake design! what a cheeky

look isnt it! haha :D this cake is the all time 

'haus of JOCKolate' © favourite Rainbow cake.

Sanrio - Hello Kitty

 OMG! isnt this real cute to have as a birthday cake!

this ones a request from Ilyana, my course mate in

NIE (National Institute of Education) for a double birthday

celebration she had with her friends. she actually ordered

2 customized designer cakes! the other one is the 9 GAG 

inspired cake in the post above :)

 the cake really does have a fluffy, soft toy feel and look

to it doesnt it :D this ones a Red Velvet Cake with a

generous spread of Cream Cheese Frosting all over!

with Buttercream, i piped out with a star shaped tip for 

that fluffy, furry outlook.

Heart Swirls

Hey there fellow JOCKoholik's!

Gosh, its been so long since ive uploaded new creations

of my cakes huh... this ones a request from Nasri, a best 

friend of mine, for his brother's engagement ceremony.

 Nasri had requested that i reproduced a cake he saw

while browsing for ideas online. I don't normally 

reproduce cakes that have been done by other cake

artisans 'whole sale' though. I twigged this one to 

suit the color theme for the ceremony - Red & Silver.

Here i've added on the final touch to complete the

outlook of the cake! Happy  Engagement Salwah & Nahar!

Sweet Treats for 2O12!

Welcome 2012! as we're all in high hopes and good spirits,

what better way to welcome this new year with sweet treats!

i must say, ive fallen into the hole of culinary addiction these

months! ive been experimenting with various concoction of

recipes for the perfect Macarons over the past 2 months!

there were various methods and some were relatively easy

while others were tedious and time consuming! i do believe

that only with trial and error, ill eventually get it!

i found these cute lil transparent boxes and they fit four of my

macs snugly! dressed it up with a nice satin ribbon and it looks

posh! great as gifts on special events duncha think?

stacked 2 of these nicely packed boxes of macs!

im already thinkin of makin a perfect set of Rainbow colored macs!

might even set them up as a Macaron Tower. so do keep visitin

my blog for it yeah :D

i just simply couldnt resist not taking a bite out of these

perfectly shaped dome top almond meal shells filled with

the creamy taste of sweet vanilla buttercream! heavenly!
