Baby Welcoming Celebration!

my cousin had a baby recently and after months of paid maternity

leave, shes finally headin back to work this 2012. and to celebrate

her return, shes bringing these cute lil Macarons as gifts for her

friends at work. i had the most wonderful time bakin these blue

and white Macs, not forgetting the hours of preparation time before

finally popping trays of piped Macs into the oven! nicely stacked and

adorned with ribbons and a capital S - for baby Salman Azfar!

once again after quite some time now, i had the chance to bake

myself my very own batch of French Macarons! its always the best

feeling you can get when you see your macarons build up that

curved dome with the frilly base! thats when you know youve got

the perfect macarons. a crunchy outer shell with a chewy center!

its my first ever attempt at baking a cheesecake and i must say it

turned out really well! its a pretty easy cake to do actually.

i gave out samples to my friends and they all loved it! it was a

roaring success as my friends wanted more :D ill be trying out

new Cheesecake flavors in the weeks to come so

Red Rose Blossom

when it comes to Weddings and Engagements, couples can go

for various Customized Cake Designs ranging from a wide

variety of color palettes as well as design concepts. these days,

many are either going for unique, out of this world cake

designs or keeping into the Classic Elegant cake designs.

this is a recent addition of mine into the Weddings & Engagement cake

portfolio. they went for the Classic Elegant cake design choosing colors

which really accentuate and compliment each other well. i personally

believe Wedding and Engagement cakes looks gorgeous with flowers.

this cake was designed for the lady.

these two cakes were designed in mind for the guys. its simple

yet classy. a nice clean palette with a single rose reflects

masculinity.

add in a few more rose buds with black stripes and this cake stands out

with a dash of personality!

heres a shot of them together. a perfect match made in heaven!

i havent been baking much due to work commitments but i

do try to take in requests whenever time permits :D here's

bringin yall another one of my customized cake creations.

i got a request recently for a sports themed cake design.

it was a cake to celebrate the birthday of a Personal Trainer!

initially, Briana had requested for a dumbbell cake design for

her boyfriend. being the creative out of the box thinking me,

i proposed a Protein tub design instead! one of a kind isnt it!

Tigger & Frens!

this ones my 2nd Customized Designer Mini 2 tier Cake and i gotta say

i really really like it! all thanks for Ain for havin this Winnie the Pooh

theme cake design for Amsyar's 1st Birthday Celebration :D

the main reason for this theme was for Tigger. therefore i designed

the cake with this in mind. i didnt want the norm baby blue hues for

a boys cake... my cakes are all about being diff and out of the norm!

so i had this Tigger cake topper set onto a 2 tier Orange & Brown hue,

Double Chocolate, Hazelnut Chocolate Filling Cake! im sure the kids

gonna be runnin around in a sugah overdose frenzy! hee...

its Piglet! so cute isnt he :D

sprawlin across the side of this stripy cake... while the bees buzz away.

and of course, how can the theme be complete without Pooh

enjoyin his abundant pots of Honey! gettin all sticky and gooey :D

Starbucks Coffee - Logo

have yall had ure daily dose of coffee yet? sippin on that nice cuppa

Caramel Macchiato! ooh... thats mah favorite drink at Starbucks!

and this is mah tribute to all yall coffee lovers out there. A Starbucks

Logo inspired Customized Designer Cake!

i had the most enjoyable time creatin this unique cake as a request

for a double Birthday celebration! its a Double Chocolate, triple layer

Hazelnut Chocolate Filling Cake for Faiz & Amir! i had the logo set

onto a round base covered in Fondant. i did the take-away cup sleeve

around the cake and scattered these cute coffee beans which were

hand made out of Chocolate Fondant. im guessin they are avid fans

and regulars of Starbucks Coffee :D

im real glad of the outcome of this unique cake!

and instead of the norm, piped out Birthday Wishes, i made them a

huge Chocolate Chip Cookie and iced it. truly a one of a kind cookie.

really eager to create more variations of Starbucks inspired Cakes :P

Science Laboratory - Biohazard

i love it when it comes to bakin Cakes for Theme Parties!

havin a theme for any event really does makes it more colorful and

enjoyable. gettin ure frens to dress up in costumes and the wonderful

decorations and such :) this one was for a Birthday Celebration! i was

told that he inspires to be a Scientist one day and thus i created this

Science Laboratory inspired cake!

there are so many experiments and tests goin on in a laboratory!

i came up with the Biohazard Logo as the focal point of the cake.

and of course, science labs are filled with test tubes filled with

various chemicals and solutions in all sorts of colors! i really like

the spilled effect of these solutions flowin down the side of the cake!

apart from that, i had a Molecule set adjacent to the 2 test tubes

and cut outs of the words Biohazard and Caution on the sides

of the cake. kinda makes this cake looks a lil poisonous huh :E

to complete it off, i piped on 'Happy Birthday Aidil' on the sides of

the test tubes. gotta say though, Customized Cake makin is not all

about baking. you gotta be creative and posses great composition

skills. its about Visual Arts too!

Automobiles - Audi R8

hmm... perhaps ure goin around in a frenzy lookin for that one of a

kind, out of this world cake for that someone whos very much into

Luxury Sports Cars? fret not! why not get him the car theyve always

dreamed of! haha :) i guess with Customized Cakes, the inspiration

for cake designs are limitless :D

i made this 3D Audi R8 cake design for a Birthday Celebration.

im guessin his nickname is BINGO :) its so much fun havin cakes that

reflects ones personality duncha think? you can have any car and

anythin written on ure license plate! hahaha...

Yacht - 3 Sails

this one was a request from a fren of mine to celebrate her brothers

surprise Birthday celebration on his Wedding Day! her brothers

actually an instructor at the Singapore Yacht Sailing Club :) this

one is relatively bigger than the first 3D Yacht i made previously.

its really unique and out of the norm to have a Customized Designer

Cake at a Wedding than the standard tiered cakes duncha think :D

woah... it seems my Football Club Customized Designer Cakes

collection is increasin! my first one was Liverpool FC followed by

Manchester United FC and now Arsenal FC!

its interestin how all these Football clubs have different designs as

their badges. and best part is, im able to create a variety of design

concepts for these Football inspired cakes :)

this one was for a 25th Birthday Celebration for Husin Shah.

i guess the guys from B.R.V got this cake for him as a surprise :D

hmm... i do wonder wat B.R.V stands for...

Greek Goddess II

Engagement and Wedding celebrations here in Singapore are common

during the weekends. and in the Malay community especially, they

kinda love choosin to have em on special dates like today - 20.02.2011

this request was for the Engagement of Mawar & Mohamed Ridzwan!

if yall remembered, i did a Greek Goddess inspired cake design in

december last year before :) however that one was a 2 tier cake

design for a Birthday celebration. i really love the draping on this cake.

in keepin true to the theme, i recreated the design with swags of

Fondant to symbolize the Greek attire... of course the look wouldnt

be complete without Grecian columns! i guess this compliments the

focal piece of the cake - A golden olive, headgear wreath.

Candyfornia - Katy Perry

hey yall! im really excited to share with yall this most recent request

i got for a theme celebration cake. its a take on the infamous female

artist Katy Perry's - California Girls MTV clip!

id say that this was the most colorful and fun Customized Cake Design

ive done! i had such a blast huntin for all these delectable candies

as toppings for each cupcake. Gummy Bears, Jellybean, Gummy Worms

and tones more! i bought em mostly from Resorts World Sentosa,

at an awesome place called - Candylicious

woah... if these Cupcakes dun getcha into a Sugah overdose, im

not sure wat will! hahaha :) the colors for the Butter Cream Frosting

was a request from the Birthday GIrl - Magenta, Yellow & Cyan.
