Hawaian Tropics...

We all know that the combo of Apples and Cinnamon are
a hit especially when baked in a crispy buttery tart or as
a pie. Now how bout tryin out Pineapples! The combo of
Pineapples and Desiccated Coconuts are awesome!
Topped with glazed cherries, dripped with caramelized
Brown Sugar on a Coconut Flavoured Butter Cake...
OMG its like being on a tropical paradise by the beach!

Truely it is!
The smell of Coconut really fills the air in my kitchen!
Not to mention the Brown Sugar thats slowly caramelizing
on the bottom of the cake.

So why is it called Pineapple Upside Down Cake?
Its coz the name comes from the idea that the topping
is baked on the bottom! yes. Normally, once uve baked a
nice cake, you'd take it out and start decoratin it afterwards.
But for a Pineapple Upside Down Cake, all u have to do is to
flip it over and *tadaa...an upside down cake is serve right
side up.
